The trains will run starting at the end of next year from San Francisco, through Silicon Valley and as far as San Jose, connecting prominent technology locations such as Palo Alto and Menlo Park. The new drive systems will be incorporated into 16 new double-deck multiple unit trains produced by Stadler Rail. According to TSA, the American cities of Houston, Phoenix, Seattle, Cincinnati, Dallas and Kansas City are all being equipped with Austrian technology in the field of drive technology. The industrial company TSA produces electrical machines and transmissions for railway vehicles across the globe and starting now also engines for a new rapid transit railway system which will roll through Silicon Valley in California starting at the end of 2019.
