ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA has been honouring Austrian companies whose international involvement promotes economic development, prosperity and employment with Export Prizes 2020.
The Austrian Export Prizes for 2020 were awarded on 11 February 2021 at an award ceremony that, for the first time, was broadcast virtually; just like every year, however, public attention was once again squarely on Austria’s top exporters. The Export Prizes honour the exceptional involvement and success achieved by Austrian companies on international markets.
The prizes were awarded by Harald Mahrer, the president of the Austrian Economic Chamber, watched by a large audience that had tuned in digitally because of Corona pandemic restrictions.
Last year’s export achievements were judged in six categories.
Achieving a commanding position on global markets, developing an efficient overseas network or playing a pioneering role as an exporter will put a firm in the running for the Global Player Award, while the Expat Award is presented to an individual for services to Austria’s foreign trade.
The Global EcoVision Award goes to Austrian companies whose innovative technologies, products and services have made a lasting contribution to environmental conservation and climate protection.
