Our ECD Team has been very busy!
Education Africa’s Early Childhood Development team have had a bustling first 3 months of the year. The trainers have been conducting revision of Modules 1 & 2, ahead of their practicals, and the students have completed their assignments for these modules. In January we held a Resource Workshop at our centres and last week we handed out food parcels to our most in need students. Find out more below!
In January the Education Africa ECD Trainers held Resource Workshops for their students in our 5 centres. Over the week they made almost 50 items each which they will all use in their own centres and classrooms, and which are linked to the linked the classroom resources they require for the ECD curriculum.
All the resources are made using recycled materials which means the toys and resources they make are sustainable for classroom applications and the trainers will be able to create more without spending a large amount of money.
We are so impressed with their talent and creativity! Check out some of the brilliant items our students made below.
Last week Education Africa provided food parcels for the most needy of our ECD students in our programme, as Covid-19 continues to effect the food security of our students and many South Africans.
After the providing the food parcels for our students we received this message from a student:
“I wish to extend my Gratitude towards you and your entire team at Education Africa. Life has been difficult hence I applied for this course and to be honest I have received so much more than I ever expected.
Thank you so so much for everything you do for us. I didn’t have any food at home but today you made sure that I have food.
Thank you thank you thank you”
We are so proud that we can help our students like this at Education Africa, but we cannot do it without your help. Thank you for your continued support. We hope you will consider donating to Education Africa.
