Sounds of Celebration VIII is back – and this year, it is more powerful and relevant than ever. For the first time, the eighth consecutive offering of this unique collaboration between Education Africa and Sydenham Shul presents a concert to an international audience. “SIMUNYE – We are one” will be available across the globe on Sunday 23rd May 2021 as a packaged broadcast, streamed online directly into viewers’ homes and community spaces. It will also be available for a week after the initial screening.
Sounds of Celebration VIII online global social cohesion concert will feature both local South African as well as international stars and groups, singing and performing, including Grammy nominated musicians. In addition, there will be performances by our Education Africa Marimba Hub Bands as well as the cream of our South African youth. The Finale will be a spectacular collaboration of all the featured artists in a celebration of social cohesion across the world!
