Mitochondria Energy was established in 2012 by Mr Mashudu Ramano to participate in the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Sector. In 2018, Mitochondria Energy Systems was established. Together with its Technology Partner, AVL Engineering, and funding partners, the IDC, DBSA and DTIC, Mitochondria recently completed a Bankable Feasibility Study for its Fuel Cell Technology (called Project Phoenix), developed specifically for the South African and African Markets. Mitochondria will break ground on its Manufacturing Facility located in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, in early 2024 – a state-of-the-art assembly plant to build its Project Phoenix Fuel Cell.
