DESCRIPTION:Dear ABC Members\, \nIn 2026\, both Masibambane College and the Austrian Business Chamber will celebrate 30 years of impact – a shared milestone that reflects three decades of meaningful Austrian partnership and investment in South Africa. \nMasibambane College\, founded by Education Africa and partnered with St John’s College\, marks its 30th Anniversary this year. This milestone celebrates not only educational excellence but a powerful story of international collaboration that began with the visionary support of the City of Vienna and continues to this day. \nWe are delighted to invite you to join a South African/Austrian celebration of this historic partnership at the 30th Anniversary Founders Day. \nWe are honoured that the Austrian Ambassador to South Africa\, H.E. Ms Romana Königsbrun\, will serve as Patron of the celebration. A distinguished delegation from the City of Vienna will be in attendance\, led by Mr Christian Meidlinger\, First President of the Vienna Provincial Council\, together with Dr Hannes Swoboda\, who officially opened the College in 1996\, and Ms Renate Brauner\, former Vice Mayor of Vienna. \nThis is a unique opportunity for the Austrian community in South Africa to come together\, celebrate a shared legacy\, and demonstrate continued commitment to education and opportunity. \nMembers are warmly encouraged to attend in strong numbers. \nDate: Saturday 30th May 2026\nTime: 09h00\nTransport: To mark this special occasion for Austrian Business Chamber members\, a bus has been arranged departing from Education Africa\, Norwich Close\, Sandton \nA finger lunch will be served following the formal proceedings. \nPlease find the formal invitation attached\, together with a brief overview of the history of Masibambane College. \nIn recognition of this longstanding Austrian contribution\, members are also invited to support the celebration through a voluntary contribution: \nR5\,000 – Inclusion of your company logo in the official programme\nR10\,000 – Inclusion of your company logo and the opportunity to display two outdoor banners\nOr a contribution of your choice\nAll donors will receive a Section 18A tax certificate from Education Africa (on request).\nPlease note that Education Africa enjoys Level 1 B-BBEE contribution status and donations may be used to count toward improving your company’s B-BBEE scorecard \nRSVP: members@austrianbc.co.za \nWe look forward to celebrating this shared 30-year journey with you and reaffirming the enduring connection between the Austrian community\, Education Africa\, and Masibambane College.
